Prasad held a coaching clinic in Kolkata for the boys from Avadesh Pratap Singh University from Rewa (Eastern Tigers) and Veer Bahadur Singh University, Jaunpur (Eastern Eagles). After the clinic, Prasad feels the boys had talent, enthusiasm and were eager to give their best.
The former Indian speedster and national bowling coach rated Tigers and Eagles' fielding 6 out of 10. Prasad said while the training had less intensity than that of a T20 match, the boys would have to be more focussed on their game. Relatively unknown, Prasad believes their low profile could be an advantage against the big guns like Delhi and Mumbai.
During the training camp, Prasad also highlighted the need to get the fundamentals right. He pointed out that if one stuck to the basics of the game then there would be no need to do anything extraordinary. "If things are kept simple they will go smoothly and that is the mantra for success," Prasad said.
